Man commits suicide

A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging himself at Dhanu village in Udhampur district.

According to reports, Hukum Singh, son of Mansa Ram, a daily wage labourer, was found hanging with a rope from the roof of his house by his family members on Tuesday when they returned home from their work. The family immediately informed local police about the incident.

After getting the information, the station house office (SHO), Ramnagar, Deepak Pathania, reached the spot and shifted the body to sub district hospital Ramnagar. The body was later handed over to the family members after conducting autopsy.

Meanwhile police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
