The victim’s children kept on screaming for help, but the scared local residents could not muster courage to rescue the woman and remained confined behind the doors in their houses.
The woman was adamant to go to her father’s house while her husband forced her to stay back home. The altercation between the couple over the issue led to the gruesome incident.
The local residents probably had never come across such horrible scene in their life before. Om Prakash Yadav, a milkman and resident of the same locality, was running behind his wife Suman (36) carrying a chopper in his hand. Hurling choicest of the expletives Yadav was trying to catch Suman while the latter was screaming for help running all around the locality.
Suman’s children Usha and Rahul too kept on knocking the closed doors of the residents asking for help but none had come out for the rescue of the poor woman.
Meanwhile, Yadav succeeded pouncing upon Suman near the field at Janki Temple in the locality. In a hysterical state Yadav hit Suman on her face and head with the chopper repeatedly and kept on hitting her with the weapon until she bleed to death on the spot. The local residents could not muster courage to gather at the spot seeing the gory scene while Yadav walked away from the scene unscathed. The people informed the police only after they were ensured that Yadav had left the place.
The cops rushed the scene to find mutilated body of Suman lying in a pool of blood in a field.
It was later revealed that Yadav and his wife used to engage in altercation frequently as Yadav used to suspect that his wife had illicit relation with his tenant Gajraj. Gajraj, a rickshaw-puller used to live on the first floor of Yadav’s house. However, Yadav had got the room vacated from Gajraj recently.
But, local residents said, Yadav still was not confirmed if Suman had ended up the relation or not. Suman was insisting to go to her father’s place but Yadav had refused for the same as he suspected that she was going to visit her paramour.
