Man held on rape allegations

Gurgaon police have booked a 26-year-old medical representative on charges of raping a married woman (23) on the pretext of getting her employment in his company. Both were known to each other for about six months, the police said.

The victim, a resident of Anand Parvat (Delhi), claimed that the accused, Manoj Kumar, took her to an apartment in Saraswati Vihar last night and raped her. He had been promising to get her a job in his company for long.

Station House Officer (SHO), Sector-29 police station Jagdish Chander said: “The medical examination of the woman had confirmed rape. The accused was booked after that.”
