
Man shot at, dies of heart attack in Gzb
A jewellery shop owner and his son were shot at by three bike-borne robbers in Vaishali Sector-6 area on Monday night.
One of the victims who got bullet injuries in his head died of heart attack in the hospital, the police said.
The incident took place at around 11 pm when Ashok Verma and his son Gaurav were returning home after closing their shop in Sector-4. The duo was riding a scooter. The assailants attacked them near a deserted stretch in Vaishali Sector-6.
“The robbers tried to snatch a bag from Verma who was riding pillion. During the scuffle, the robbers fired a shot and the bullet hit Verma’s hand. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died of a heart attack,” senior superintendent of police Nitin Tiwari said.
