A teenaged girl allegedly killed her father after he tried to molest her, police said today.

The incident occurred on Friday when the 15-year-old girl returned home in Bori area after school.

The victim's father Satish Jaronde entered her room and tried to molest her. The girl hit him with a crowbar in attempt to defend herself, killing the 47-year-old on the spot, they said.

When her stepmother returned from local market, she found the girl sitting near the body. The stepmother lodged a police complaint and the girl was subsequently arrested, police said.

She will be produced before the Juvenile Court, Police Inspector Kailash Tankar told PTI.

The deceased was a habitual sexual offender and had illicit relations with five to six women. He had also married four to five women, Tankar said.

He had allegedly killed his third wife whose daughter is the accused in this case, the inspector added.
