Man with gun detained at Kolkata metro station

A man carrying a loaded gun was nabbed by Metro Railway police in Kolkata after an alarm was triggered by a metal detector at Shovabazar station on Sunday.
The person from Uttar Pradesh, who claimed he had a license for the gun, was handed over by Metro Railway to the state police.
Police said he was taken to a camp where a search yielded the gun he was carrying in his pocket. The man pleaded ignorance about the ban on carrying firearms on the Metro.
