The lawyers organised dharnas outside the court complex at Mandi and other block headquarters of the district. Lawyers are against the holding of circuit bench of district and sessions at sub-division level, saying the state high court should fitrst permit its own circuit court at the district
headquarters of the state.

Members of the Mandi bar association said that the decision was taken in a hasty manner by the high court and without taking in confidence the district bar associations.

Mandi DBA president Bharat Bhushan said that a copy of resolution of the bar has been sent to the President of India, chief justice of India, chief justice of high court and chief minister Virbhadra Singh.
