The Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) and Kuki Mother's Association (KMA) have called a general strike in Manipur on May 29.

The Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) and Kuki Mother's Association (KMA) have called a general strike in Manipur on May 29 to protest the alleged misdemeanour to a wife of a senior police officer by pharmacists on May 20.

Meanwhile, the Manipur Chemist and Druggists Association demanded punishment for the Indian Reserve Battalion personnel who beat up the pharmacists.

Both parties have levelled various charges and various organisations appealed to both the parties to resolve the issue as it was a minor incident.
