State chief electoral officer V Chibber has rushed to Delhi to consult the Election Commission for a date for repoll at those polling stations, the sources added.

Repoll at some polling stations in Jiribam sub-division and Churachandpur district in Outer Manipur could not be held on April 30, the scheduled date, as security personnel could not reach there in time.

Manipur went to polls for its two seats on April 20 (Outer Manipur) and April 26 (Inner Manipur).
