Greeting the nation on the occasion of Holi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said the festival of colours provides an opportunity to forge new bonds and fellow feeling among the citizens.

In a message on the eve of Holi, he said the festival "reminds us of the vibrant colours of our multi-cultural society and our diversity."

"May the joy, colour and gaiety associated with the festival touch the lives of one and all. May this occasion usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all," he said.
