An internationally acclaimed Film Director, his supernatural thrillers like The Sixth Sense and The Village have been runaway hits. The former bagged two Golden Globe nominations and the 26th Annual People's Choice Award.

At the age of 10, inspired primarily by Steven Spielberg's films, Shyamalan began making films with his father's 8 mm camera and by the age of 16 had made over 45 short films.

Shyamalan is recognised for enhancing the image and understanding of India at such a young age through his widely acclaimed films.
