Manvendra Singh wins from Barmer
Finance Minister Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra Singh has won the Barmer LS seat in Rajasthan by defeating Cong's Col. Sona Ram. Singh defeated Colonel Sona Ram of the Congress by a margin of over 0.27 million votes.

Union Finance Minister Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra Singh has won the Barmer Lok Sabha seat in Rajasthan.
Singh defeated Colonel Sona Ram of the Congress by a margin of over 0.27 million votes.
Manvendra had lost the 1999 Lok Sabha polls from the same constituency to Sona Ram.
