About 100 armed rebels stormed into Malabaran village and blew up the building with landmines, Inspector In-Charge of Motu Police station S K Taoria said.

The Maoists shouted anti-government slogans before disappearing into the forests, he said.

Additional forces were rushed to the village to launch combing operations.

About a dozen panchayat buildings, schools and godowns have been destroyed by the ultras so far this year.
