Maoist guerrillas called a local CPI-M leader Tapan Dolui at his home at Dherua village and fired from close range late on Tuesday, the police said.

He died on the spot and the ultras left the body on Dherua-Midnapore road.

Maoist posters accusing Dolui to be a police informer was found from the spot, the police said.
