Maria, Jerome to depose in court on Oct 16

The two accused in the sensational Neeraj Grover murder case, Maria Susuairaj and Emile Jerome Mathew, will be produced before the court on October 16.
The Principal Judge of the Sessions court will in this week assign the trial to an additional sessions judge, in whose court the duo would be produced.
Susairaj and Mathew have been accused of murdering Neeraj Grover, creative executive with TV production house Synergy Adlabs in May this year.
The duo had stabbed Grover to death on May 7 at Maria's residence in suburban Oshiwara and disposed off his body at Manor in the outskirts of Mumbai.
Susairaj in her confession had stated that she was a victim of circumstances and that Mathew had out of rage murdered Grover.
"Mathew was enraged after seeing Grover in my bedroom and started assaulting him, which led to Mathew stabbing Grover. Mathew then raped me twice at knifepoint," Susairaj had confessed to a magistrate.
Mathew, who was present before additional sessions judge S T Mahajan, told the court that the magistrate had directed the prosecution to translate the chargesheet in English but he still has not been provided the copy.
Public prosecutor, R V Kini however opposed to the order stating that Marathi is the state language and this translation has been sought only to stall the trial to commence.
Additional sessions Judge S T Mahajan directed Kini to either comply with the magistrate's order or oppose the order at the Bombay High Court.
Richard Susairaj, Maria's elder brother, who was also present in the court said that the entire family's lives have been changed.
"Maria and Mathew were supposed to tie the knot in July and both the families were planning to fix the date. However, the murder has changed everything now," Richard told PTI.
He said that Maria had on many occasions spoken to him about Grover and his efforts to help her buy a house and get some auditions in TV serials and movies.
