The Beatles legend's left shoe has gone on sale on the internet auction site and has so far attracted a bid of 802 pounds from a Fab Four fanatic trying to land some precious memorabilia.

The black size nine-and-a-half Merrell slipper is highly unfashionable, rubber-soled and has a bright red lining.

And although it has been worn by Macca, it is advertised as being “in excellent condition,” reports The Sun.

The shoe, which was donated to landmines charity 'Mag' by the star himself, is part of the charity’s Give Landmines The Boot auction of celebrity footwear, aimed to raise money to help clear the deadly devices from 13 countries around the world.

The auction finishes at midnight on Sunday (02April06).
