'Men are born hunters'
The recent kiss ka kissa involving Rakhi and Mika shows that most party animals have forgotten basic etiquettes! Rakhi lip-locked! | Controversy QueensUpdated: Jun 16, 2006 20:22 IST
How to greet someone at a page 3 party? Will a peck look decent? Well, in order to look hip and be "in-vogue" at glam events, most party animals forget basic etiquettes!
Atleast, the recent kiss ka kissa involving Rakhi and Mika clears this point. With the invent of extravagant page 3 dos, basic mannerisms, for both men and women, seems to be on a decline.
Those who are regulars at such bashes lay down certain dos and don'ts of partying and how to stay away from controversies.
Says actress Riya Sen, "Kiss as an introductory remark like Hello is something everyone should avoid. Unless the person who comes to kiss you is very close and known to you, you should never allow someone to kiss you just like saying hello. This has to be the first rule one should keep in mind while attending parties and functions. At least I make sure people don't cross the line with me."
The second rule that Mona Chopra puts forward is not to provoke men because they are born-hunters. "I can't blame men for becoming a little aggressive if women dress up seductively and in turn provokes men to take a step. Women should not take a lead in kissing a man. She should be reserved and should maintain her dignity. If you give indications and gesture in any function men are born to fall for that. I don't blame men. They are born hunters. It's females who should know how she has to present herself and how she should not," says the raunchy babe.
The next thing one should avoid is intimate kissing and mixing up with men with bad intentions. Says item girl Mumait Khan, "Leave your bad intentions behind once you are in social gatherings. Once I smell that a man is trying to get close to me and has bad intentions, I try to snub him there and then. Kissing each other is not a problem but if someone has lust in mind then it's a problem. Don't approach anyone with lust. It's not healthy for any one."
Hot girl Mona Lisa agrees. "I have a golden rule in these parties. I mingle only with those people who are close to me," she says.
Even Rakhi Sawant can suggest how to be a good party person as she says, "If you want to kiss someone as a mark of saying hello, the best way is to hold her gently and put a soft peck on her cheek. Not smooch her badly," states Rakhi.
