Mild quake rocks Shillong
An earthquake measuring measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale rocked Shillong today, an official said. The tremor was felt at 8.44am with the epicentre located 60 km from the Regional Seismological Centre in Upper Shillong, the official said.

An earthquake measuring measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale rocked Shillong on Tuesday, an official said. The tremor was felt at 8.44am with the epicentre located 60 km from the Regional Seismological Centre in Upper Shillong, the official said.
Seismologists consider the north eastern states to be the sixth most earthquake-prone belt in the world.
