A moderate intensity earthquake on Saturday rocked areas along the Indo-Nepal border in Uttaranchal, the Meteorological Department said in New Delhi.

The quake, measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale, was felt at 1.03 am in areas like Almora and Pithorgarh in Uttaranchal.
According to initial reports, minor tremors were also felt in the national capital.
The quake was epicentered at 29.7 degree north latitude and 80.7 degree east longitude, they said.
