A minor scuffle on Wednesday broke out between the presiding officer and supporters of a candidate over the placement of a polling agent at Khairwar in the Dausa Lok Sabha seat, where Sachin Pilot, the son of late Congress leader Rajesh Pilot, is contesting, police said here.
The problem began early this morning when the supporters of a political party objected to the placement of a Haryana-based polling agent at the booth, they said.
Soon supporters belonging to that party collected in large numbers and a minor scuffle ensued between them and polling officials after a verbal altercation, they added.
The situation was brought under control after police intervened and the polling is going on unaffected, they said.
When contacted, the additional director-general of police (law and order) SN Jairath said polling was underway normally in the entire state.
