This happened 10 years ago and the cause was believed to be the hereditary disease 'dry macular degeneration' because of which Hudspeth's father and sister had also lost their eyesight. Hudspeth loved his wife very much, who had expired in 2009, and whenever he was sad he would pick up her ph-oto and would talk with her.
According to a report, one day Hudspeth was listening to the TV programme and was trying to know what was happening in different parts of the world. As soon as the advertisements began to appear, he picked up the photo of his wife and began to talk with her. While talking to her, he kissed her picture a couple of times. Just then he got a shock and suddenly a miracle took place.
Hudspeth began seeing his wife's picture, a bit unclear in the beginning and later clearly. Overwhelmed, he watched the TV the whole night. Next morning he saw his five-year-old granddaughter for the first time. Everyone was wonder-struck. Even the doctors could not understand anything.
Hudspeth says that he is not religious but he certainly believes in spiritual power. With the intensity of desire and full faith, anyone could experience such miraculous happenings. This is how Lord Vishnu appeared before Prahlad, Lord Krishna appeared before Meera and Surdas, and Lord Rama appeared before Surdas. Ailments too have been cured this way. The elephant caught by his leg by the crocodile got relieved. Draupadi in Mahabharata got intermittent supply of the sari and her prestige was saved when her five husbands could not help her.
