The Mizoram Pradesh Congress committee has finalised the party's official candidates for the November 20 Assembly polls, party sources said here on Thursday.

The Congress would contest all 40 Assembly constituencies, the sources said.

The list of candidates as proposed by the party nomination committee was being brought to Delhi by the former chief minister and state PCC chief, Lal Thanhawla, who left Aizawl on Thursday, for formal approval of the AICC.

Sources in the ruling Mizo National Front said the party's official candidates for Lunglei and undivided Chhimtuipui districts had been finalised.

The candidates for the undivided Aizawl district would soon be finalised.

The Mizoram People's Conference have already announced its candidates for seven constituencies in Lunglei district and the rest would soon be announced, MPC sources said.
