A sum of Rs 12 crore has been sanctioned for disbursement of salary to all the employees of these institutions, and the amount may be transferred to the varsity accounts within two days.

However, these institutions have not submitted the option forms that will give the record of doctors and employees wishing to avail the Central Government facilities. The doctors and employees of the MLNMC and the SRN Hospital were demanding that their salary be distributed by the AU with all the requisite allowances.

Although the authorities declared that the October salary of the employees of these institutions would be disbursed by the university, they failed to do so. The doctors and other employees of these institutions expressed anguish over the failure to disburse the salary through AU.

The doctors and employees now feel that they will get their salary from the varsity with all the allowances applicable from October in the next month.

Varsity sources said that UGC had sanctioned the grants for the salary that would be distributed as soon as the option forms were received from these institutions. They said the MLNMC and SRN hospital did not submit the option form to the varsity . Senior AU Executive Council member Sunit Vyas hailed the decision and said that the varsity would have full control over MLNMC, SRN Hospital and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Degree College. He said with the change of control of the medical college from the State to the Central Govoernment, best medical facilities would available in the city.
