"People's money have been misused due to corruption in the development projects and politicians are responsible for it. So, the cell will monitor and point out any misdeeds in the projects," Raj said.

Referring to the much delayed Bandra-Worli sealink, Raj said the work of the bridge was started by his uncle and Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray ten years back.

"The cost of the project was Rs 300-350 crore then which has now raised to Rs 1,300-1,400 crore," he said.

Small works like road repair and paver blocks maintenance are also not free from corruption and ultimately citizens face difficulty while using the road, he said.
