A team of Pune police on Saturday detained a Mumbai-based actress and model for allegedly insulting the national flag during a photo shoot.

A team of Pune police took Vandana Ravindra Tiwari alias Gehana Vasisth into custody from her residence in Mumbai following a complaint against her under 'Insult to National Honour Act'.
Ravindra V Brahme, national secretary of Lokjanshakti party, had filed a complaint against the model.
"We had summoned her, but she did not appear. As she was shooting, she had requested for two days' time, but did not turn up, so we sent a team to Mumbai." Manohar Joshi, senior police Inspector of Deccan police station, said,
The police, however, said she had not been "arrested" yet.
