A moderate quake, measuring 5.4 on Richter scale, shook Andaman and Nicobar islands on Friday morning.

The tremor, epicentred at south of Great Nicobar island at 6.5 degrees north latitude and 93.9 degrees east longitude, struck at 0635 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.
There was no immediate report of any damage to life or property.
The region has been experiencing tremors almost everyday since the devastating earthquake on December 26, off the coast of Sumatra, that triggered the deadly tsunami.
