Modi wishes Lalu speedy recovery after surgery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished a speedy recovery to RJD chief Lalu Prasad who underwent a cardiac surgery in Mumbai and said he prays for his good health.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished a speedy recovery to RJD chief Lalu Prasad who underwent a cardiac surgery in Mumbai and said he prays for his good health.

"Wishing a speedy recovery to Lalu ji and praying for his good health," Modi tweeted.

Prasad underwent an over six-hour-long surgery at a Mumbai hospital where he was admitted on Monday after he was diagnosed with 'aortic stenosis'.

According to the hospital statement, Prasad underwent aortic valve replacement, aortic repair and repair of a 3-mm hole in the heart

Meanwhile, RJD leaders and legislators and well-wishers conducted 'hawan' and special prayers at the party headquarters in Patna, for his speedy recovery.
