The only player in South Africa's one-day squad without senior international experience, van Wyk will provide cover for first-choice keeper Mark Boucher.



A product of the famous Gray's College in Bloemfontein, he played in the 1998 under-19 World Cup and regularly opens the batting for Free State in one-day cricket.

Earned his promotion on the A tour to Australia earlier this year when he was South Africa's leading one-day run scorer with 176 in four games, including an innings of 94 off 85 balls in Hobart.
