MP: 15-yr-old from Kharika village abducted and raped in Surat

A 15-year-old girl belonging to Kharika village under Umri police station limit was found in Surat in Gujarat on Wednesday. The girl was kidnapped a fortnight ago and was taken to Surat district in Gujarat where she was raped for 10 days.

Police said the girl had gone to purchase goods in Bhind city on November 24 and was abducted from the market. A 25-year-old man Dilip Jatav, resident of Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh had abducted her.

Dehat police on the complaint of the girl's kin registered a case against the man and started investigation.

Later, police got information through an informer that the kidnapped girl was in Surat. A police team reached Surat and found the kidnapped girl there.

City superintendent of police (CSP) Virendra Tomar said the police registered a rape case and sent the girl for medical examination and also arrested the accused Dilip Jatav.
