"She continues to be in ventilator with a life support and we are still worried about her health," said Dr Chetan Shende and Dr Ravi Mannadiyar of the hospital where she was admitted on April 20.

The girl was allegedly raped by Firoz Khan on April 17 who later dumped her in a farm. Her parents found her next morning and rushed her to a government hospital in Jabalpur.

On Saturday night, the Madhya Pradesh government organised an air ambulance to move the child to a private super specialty hospital in Nagpur when her health deteriorated.

The 35 year old accused, who works in a private power plant in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Tuesday from Hussainabad area of Bihar's Bhagalpur district.

The accused was apprehended by the police after monitering his cellphone details.
