"I had written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the Centre's help in this regard but no help was given," Yadav told the Vidhan Sabha.

He said despite unemployment being a national problem, the Centre did not provide any help to the state.

Yadav said his Government had been able to bring the economy of the state back on the rails and for the "first time in its history, the revenue deficit had been completely wiped out".

"The growth rate also increased to seven per cent from 0.1 per cent since we had assumed power in the state," he added.
