Mumbai Police smash porn racket, arrest 39

The police used dummy customers after receiving a tip-off about the racket.

Mumbai Police have claimed to have smashed a racket allegedly involved in selling pornographic MMS clips with the arrest of 39 people in Borivali in suburban Mumbai.

"A racket of selling pornographic MMS clips was busted at Indraprastha shopping centre in Borivali," an officer said.

The police arrested Ubaid Abdul Fruitwala and Mangesh Jain, who allegedly ran the racket, and seized computers, mobile phones and other electronic equipment from the spot.

The police had sent dummy customers at the shopping centre after receiving information about the racket.
