Muraleedharan lost the election Thursday from the Wadakanchery constituency.

Appearing subdued, he insisted all was not lost.

"Just one loss is not the end of the world. We have enough time to sit together and regroup and chart out a plan of action to resurrect the party."

There is no need to blame anyone for the defeat. This is after all a shock treatment so as to put our house in order. We can come back in a big way," Muraleedharan maintained.
