Perturbed over increasing allegations of involvement of Muslims in terrorism, more than a dozen clerics from all over Gujarat and Maharashtra met at the historic Juma Masjid on Friday and resolved to lead the Muslims’ fight against terrorism.

Expressing grief and pain over the deaths of innocent people in the July 26 blasts; the clerics said that they would be visiting the injured in the various hospitals in the city and offer help to the victims.

Maulana Abdus Sattar Hamdani from Porbandar said that the organisations like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Hizbul -e-Muzaheedin are creating terror for money and are deceiving the poor and uneducated youngsters by wrong interpretation of Quran.

“Indian Muslims would be in the forefront of the global fight against terrorism”, the Maulana declared soon after the Friday prayers at the Juma Masjid.
