Muslims march in BJP's support in Rajasthan

In a rare support to the BJP, a group of Muslims on Saturday marched seeking people's mandate for returning Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Prime Minister.

The march 'Atal Himayat Caravan', on the lines of one moving around in Uttar Pradesh, was flagged off at the state BJP headquarters here on Saturday morning by party vice-president Onkar Singh Lakhawat and genereal secretary Prakash Chandra.

The caravan will visit Muslim dominated areas in the state to create awareness among minority community about the works done by Vajpayee government at the Centre and ask them to vote for returning him back to power, the Himayat committee said.

Muslim leaders, like former legislator Gul Mohammad Mansuri, Haji Shahabuddin, Sharfuddin Ballar, Abdul Kalam Mansuri and Firoza Bano, were present on the occasion.
