An affidavit seeking extension of time was filed by CBI Investigating Officer Nandakumaran Nair.

The agency said they had not yet received reports of forensic science laboratory, only after which it could lay the final charge sheet.

The CBI had earlier also sought an extension.

The petition is likely to come up before the court next week.

Paul, the scion of the multi-crore Muthoot group, was murdered on the Alapuzha-Changanassery road on August 22 last year.
