Nagar Nigam warns nursing homes
ANY NURSING home found violating the bio-medical waste norms would be closed by the Nagar Nigam in the city. This direction was given by Nagar Nigam administrator Amrit Abhijat to the chief health officer, while addressing a meeting of the NN officials at his camp office here on Thursday evening. The administrator who is also the district magistrate, asked the health officer to launch an area-wise drive against the erring nursing homes in the city and ensure their immediate closure.

The administrator who is also the district magistrate, asked the health officer to launch an area-wise drive against the erring nursing homes in the city and ensure their immediate closure.
Referring to several irregularities in house tax collection, the administrator issued warning to the concerned officials asking them to recover 100 per cent tax by March 20, failing which they would be suspended, he said.
He ordered the municipal commissioner to check houses at random. He also decided to review himself the daily tax collection progress. The proposal of having automatic light system at the main crossings was okayed by the DM .
The road from Church to High Court and Thronhill road will be beautified by the Nagar Nigam on the pattern of Hyderabad. Dividers, tree plantation, lighting system, etc will be the main aspects of the beautification project. Besides, main roads and selected localities will be undertaken for night cleaning by the NN itself. The administrator approved the proposal of carrying out beautification project of Gudiya Talab and also sought proposal from the municipal commissioner for Nawal Rai Talab.
