At around 8.50 am Immamuddin was on his way to St Xavier’s College in South Mumbai when he fell off between Mahalakshmi and Mumbai Central stations.

The railway police reached the spot and found him lying on the tracks. They took him to the nearby Nair Hospital, where they were told that he had fractures in his limbs.

The police inserted the SIM card of his broken mobile phone in another phone and contacted the numbers saved as 'mom' and 'dad' - that is when they realised who it was.

Naseeruddin reached the hospital soon thereafter and shifted him to the Hinduja Hospital. He is presently recovering in the ICU after a minor surgery.

According to Immamuddin's family, he is responding well to the treatment.
