Ultra-clean outlets and efficient yet strictly-no-smiles service are the hallmarks of Nathu’s (these outlets have no connection with the one in Bengali Market). A mithai shop that doubles as a home-style fast-food restaurant offering everything an average Delhiite loves to eat – cheese pizzas, veg sizzlers, veg biryani and dosas – its gol gappas served with mineral water jal jeera, papri-chaat, chholey-bhature and dhoklas are its claims to fame. It can never go wrong with rasgullas and rasmalai, or with its brand of savoury mixtures, though the pastries aren’t inspiring. The Nathu’s Sunday Breakfast Special for Rs 50 is worth checking out.
