National meet on ultrasonics

PHYSICS DEPARTMENT of Allahabad University, in collaboration with Ultrasonic Society of India, is organising a three-day national symposium on ultrasonics from November 1 to 3, at Allahabad University.

Dr RR Yadav, convenor of the seminar, said in a press release on Tuesday that the inauguration ceremony would be held at Vijnan Parishad Hall on Wednesday at 11 am. Prof CL Chhetrapal, director, National Biomedical Resonance Centre, SGPGI, Lucknow, would be the chief guest.

About 300 scientists from various universities namely Lucknow University, Agra University, Patna University, Kochin University, Rajasthan University, Delhi University, BHU, Cochin University etc and IGCAR, Kalpakkam, IIT New Delhi and Kharapur, AIIMS, New Delhi, SGPGI, Lucknow, BITS Pilani etc are participating in this symposium. Eminent scientists and research workers who will be participating are: Padamshri Raj Babeja (Allahabad), Christ Gloriux (Belgium), Prof RP Singh (Lucknow), Prof S Ram (Kharagpur),Dr Kishan Lal (New Delhi), Dr T Jaya Kumar (Kalpakkam), Dr Phillip Jacob (Cochin), Ravi Prakash (Pilani).
