Naxalites blast rest house in a tourist spot in Bihar

Armed CPI (Maoist) Naxalites on Thursday triggered a blast at a rest house at Bhim Bandh, a famous tourist spot in Bihar's Munger district onThursday, but there was no report of any casualty, official sources said.

An armed squad asked the rest house staff to vacate the building and then triggered a dynamite, the sources said.

The building was badly damaged, the sources said adding that there was no report of any casualty.

Extremists had killed the then Munger Superintendent of Police K Surendra Babu in Bhim Bandh area on January five last year by exploding a bomb in his jeep.
