NBA protests bungling in compensation

THE NARMADA Bachao Andolan workers staged a demonstration and gheraoed the Narmada Valley Development Authority office over alleged irregularities in distribution of compensation to the Sardar Sarovar Project oustees in Manawar in Dhar district on Friday.
Alleging corruption in distribution of compensation to the affected, Andolan leader Medha Patkar demanded immediate arrest of those allegedly involved in the fake compensation cases said the compensation distributed to such cases should be immediately taken back.
Patkar said the people belonging to the region have already received the compensation while the actual affected are yet to receive it. The Andolan workers took out a rally also.
