NC worker, Pakistani terrorist killed in J&K

A National Conference activist was shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir valley, where security forces killed a Pakistani terrorist in separate incidents since Tuesday night, official sources said here on Wednesday.

A National Conference activist was shot dead by terrorists in Kashmir valley, where security forces killed a Pakistani terrorist in separate incidents since Tuesday night, official sources said here on Wednesday.

Muzaffar Khalil Bhat, an NC worker, was gunned down by unidentified terrorists inside his house at Harwan on the outskirts of Srinagar late on Tuesday night, the sources said.

Bhat was rushed to hospital but was declared brought dead, they said.

The sources said terrorists also intruded into the house of a carpet dealer Nazir Ahmad Pathan at Busan-Wudar in Khansahib area of Badgam district early on Wednesday and opened fire.

Pathan was injured and was shifted to hospital where his condition was stated to be serious, they added.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Irfan alias Abu Usama was killed in an encounter with Indo-Tibetan Border Police at Mangipora-Kapran near Dooru in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Tuesday night.

Some arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist, the sources said.
