NCP praises Govt's move to allot land to parties

According to the cabinet decision, a uniform and rational policy will be adopted for allotting land to political parties.

The Nationalist Congress Party on Friday welcomed the Union cabinet's decision to allocate land to political parties outside Lutyen's Delhi.

"It is a very rational decision taken by the Manmohan Singh government. We welcome the cabinet decision. We are ready to vacate the bungalow when the time comes," NCP general secretary DP Tripathi told reporters in New Delhi.

According to the cabinet decision, a uniform and rational policy will be adopted for allotting land to political parties in the Institutional Area to facilitate their effective functioning.
