Nearly 240 child labourers, found working in business establishments in Chembur area of north Mumbai, were rescued by police on Saturday.

"These child labourers were found working in eateries, shops and other establishments", Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravindra Sengoankar said.
He said the rescued children will be shifted to remand homes before they are handed over the parents and family members.
Nearly a dozen persons, who employed these child labourers have also been detained, sources said.
