Neetu Chandra, who has replaced Raima Sen in two films — Ram Gopal Verma’s Rann and Jagmohan Mundhra’s The Apartment, admits that she is elated. “I don’t want to offend someone but it feels nice that people are giving you preference. This is the rule of the industry — the director casts whoever he feels is better for his film. It’s a very competitive world.”

So did she ask either Ram Gopal Verma or Jagmohan Mundhra about why they choose her over Raima? “Yes, I asked both of them. They said they have seen my past work and loved it. I think good work leads to more good work,” she answers.

She feels this won’t lead to bad blood between her and Raima. “I don’t think so. It happens with everyone, it’s not a big deal,” she says.
