Urmila Prakash (46) was allegedly shot dead by Manoj Jatav and three of his accomplices in Garhi, Pilkhuwa on Friday, police said.

When the victim’s neighbour Umesh Singh (40) tried to intervene, she was brutally beaten by the accused.

“Jatav had sold us a house and a piece of plot a couple of days ago but he wanted to purchase the property which we refused. In retaliation, he killed my wife,” said Ram Prakash, victim’s husband.

Police have arrested Jatav and registered cases under sections 302 and 307 of the IPC.
