Kitty parties have just got more exciting and innovative. After successfully exploring the concept of ladies’ night, clubs are now going for ladies’ lunch.
F Bar & Lounge, Ashoka Hotel, launches lazy lunch for women today, where the ladies can enjoy leisurely luncheons with a 15-minute fashion show on Wednesdays, when Samsara will showcase a clothing line by designers like Rohit Bal, Deepika Gehani, Monisha Jaisingh and Rocky S among others. On Fridays, there will be interactive sessions on beauty, grooming and the ladies will be pampered with rejuvenating massages. The event begins as a by-invitation-only but will soon be open to
Says Ala Madhu, who has conceived the contest, “Kitty parties are all about jokes and food, but I think women want more fun and more than just food.” Rohit Bal whose clothes will be displayed here says the concept sounds good.
Recently Side Wok, at Khan Market, too started spa lunch for women every Sunday where they enjoy aromatic massages while nibbling on exotic delicacies.
Blossom Kochhar who has been part of both the parties says, “I know women are always looking for the latest tips on hair, make-up, aromatherapy and fashion… and if they get it all while they are chilling out with friends, nothing like it.
Model Krishna Somani says, “It’s wonderful to go and chill out with your girlfriends while catching on the latest trends.”
Designer Anjana Bhargav who plans to attend the party says that it is a great idea to chat with friends while taking a look at designer wears. “So different from the usual boring kitty parties.”
