Nine-year-old raped, killed, dumped in bag
A nine-year-old girl was raped and then murdered by her landlord. He then packed her body in a bag and threw it in a garbage dump.
A nine-year-old girl was raped and then murdered by her landlord. He then packed her body in a bag and threw it in a garbage dump.
The incident happened late on Sunday evening in old Faridabad.
The girl’s parents run a dhaba in sector 16 and had returned home with some food that night. Their landlord Inder Kumar, 21, expressed his desire to have some of that food. Her parents sent Shivani with a portion of that food to Kumar’s room.
After half an hour when Shivani did not return, her father Ram Sharan went to Kumar’s room to look for her. There he saw blood stains everywhere, but he couldn’t find his daughter or Kumar.
Later, he saw Kumar throwing a big plastic bag in the garbage dump at the back of the house.
On opening the bag, Sharan found his daughter’s body. His relatives then informed the police. The body was taken to BK Hospital for post-mortem where the doctors confirmed rape.
According to police, the girl was strangled to death after being raped.
“We have registered a case of murder and rape against Kumar. We have formed many teams that are conducting raids at several places to nab the accused,” said Vijay Kumar, SHO, old Faridabad.
