The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed rumours in the local media that the Indian team would return home after the first ODI in Peshawar on February 6 to avoid staying in Pakistan during the last four days leading up to Ashura in Muharram month.

A PCB source said the Indian players would travel straight to Islamabad and remain there for the Rawalpindi ODI on February 11.

"Indian officials have not made any such request and it is not possible for them to return home for four days and then comeback to play the remaining ODIs," he said.

The source also said the Indian cricket board had also not informed as yet if their team would be accompanied by their own security officers.
